Why give?

  • It all begins with an idea! Our mission is to be able to provide additional funding to our local school systems so that kids who need additional resources and small classrooms to learn, will have teachers to facilitate this!

  • Any amount can and will make a difference! Thank you for your continued support :)

 FAQs

  • Our hope is to be able to provide assistance to schools within our area of NC (and beyond one day!), so that any child who is need of additional support in school can receive that, so they can continue to learn and grow!

  • Great question! Atta Grl is a registered non-profit. All proceeds will be contributed to our local school systems to be able to employee additional teachers and resources.

The Atta Girl Foundation is dedicated to promoting inclusion and acceptance of autism and all individuals with special needs.  All funds raised go towards families and children in need of helpful resources and assistance. Every dollar in is a dollar out, contributed to local education resources for school systems and those in need.

  • Of course every child, on the spectrum or not, learns differently. Even as adults we experience this daily!

  • Why do schools push a 504 over an IEP?

The 504 can start immediately, and means preferential seating, more time on tests and assignments, small group settings, and couple of small things. The IEP would require more hoops and be more formal. It would also give the learner an extra teacher in the classroom.

  • In North Carolina, the average salary for a certified teacher is around $56,559 annually
